Wedding: Andrea & Kyle

Date: 10.25.08
Venue: Star Hill Ranch
City: Bee Cave, Texas

Andrea and Kyle sure packed a lot of fun into one day! I just love it when couples make a big effort to really personalize the day, bringing in lots of little details that make everything that much more fun for everyone.

Jessica and the team at Something to Celebrate did a killer job with all the details.

This '60 MG belongs to Andrea's Dad. He has owned it since he was a teenager and has done a ton of work restoring it. The couple use this car not only as a prop but as their getaway car!

This is the lovely and talented Shannon Cunningham (rival photographer and great friend). She shot with me. I think she needs to carry more stuff...

Love them boots! Making the big entrance...

Engagement: Rami & Brian

Date: 10.19.08
Venue: Warehouse District, State Capitol
City: Austin, Texas

Rami and Brian are a wonderful couple who have invited me to shoot their wedding next spring in San Antonio. One of the best things about doing engagement sessions is that it gives me and the couple a great chance to get to know each other more. Early on Brandon and I discovered we both love auto racing (we both loved Dale Earnhart but have agreed to disagree on Tony Stewart).

The Warehouse District is just so much fun. Everywhere you turn there are these funky backdrops and textures to work with.

in action...

You two are a blast to be around, the big day will be so much fun!

Wedding: Emily & Eric

Date: 10.18.08
Venue: Mercury Hall
City: Austin, Texas

Emily and Eric are just flat-out fun. I had a wonderful time getting to know them at their Engagement session which can be seen here. When Eric told me his buddy was setting up an Airstream Trailer at Mercury Hall so the boys cold 'tailgate' before the wedding I was hooked.

Here is my favorite so far:

The couple choose some Lego characters to use as cake toppers! Eric the Red & the pretty bride.

Emily had some rockin' pink heels, when I arrived and saw the pink globes at the ceremony site I knew we needed to do this:

Quite often the most powerful images that come out of the family formals are the ones like this

This is the Ring-Bearer / Nephew / Trend-setter. I want to find this suit in my size...

The ceremony was wonderfully warm and personal. Emily and Eric meet in class at UT so they had their professor officiate the ceremony.

Wedding: Jill & Rhett

Date: 10.12.08
Venue: Driskill Hotel
City: Austin, TX

Jill & Rhett both live in Washington D.C. and did a wonderful job of planning from so far away. The Driskill Ballroom was just gorgeous.

We just love to get our couples out doors for some fun!

These cuff links were a gift from Jill, how cool!

One awesome thing about the Driskill is all the little rooms that surround the main ballroom. There are so many great places to shoot, all with different moods.

Kelly and the gang over at Your Own Fairy Godmother did a awesome job of keeping thing on track. Here are the boys praying right before the ceremony.

Now that is a dip! Way to go guys.

Here are some of the people that made this day beautiful, fun, and tasty!
