Fun in Key West: day 4, the wedding

Date: December 19, 2008
Venue: The Reach Resort
City: Key West, Florida

There should be some absolutes in life: the St. Louis Cardinals should always make the playoffs, your name should never appear as part of a headline on The Drudge Report, and you should always be healthy on your wedding day. Not that you can tell from these photos (she looked AMAZING!) but poor Sara felt absolutely horrible in the hours leading up to the wedding. Luckily Sara started feeling better and was able to dance all night!

Check out the awesome bird cage veil. We rarely get to shoot these so we had a fun time with this glamorous veil.

Helloooooo, ladies.

Love this sweet photo of Sara and her dad coming down the aisle.

Despite the flu, Sara married her Prince Charming.

Seriously, the guy looks just like Prince Charming.

The resort was absolutely beautiful and had lots of fun places to shoot.

Traditional beach wedding photo: rinsing the sand off your feet.

We took some time at the end of the night to snap some shots in the resort's restaurant, The Strip. The restaurant name is doubly apropos in that it is a steakhouse and is decorated with images of scantily clad women.

Fun in Key West: day 3, the engagement

Date: December 18, 2008
Venue: Downtown Key West
City: Key West

Whenever we do a destination wedding we always throw in a bunch of extra goodies. Sara and Andrew live across the country from us so we were never able to get together for an engagement session. We got together with them a few hours before the rehearsal (that way they only have to get dressed up once) and went downtown for some fun!

Fun in Key West: day 2

Date: December 17, 2008
Venue: The Reach Resort, Downtown
City: Key West, Florida.

This is Phoenix, the sweetest little daredevil you can ever meet. It was so much fun to just play with her in the ocean. She would take a hard tumble in the saltwater and just hop up for more!

Incredible views like this are everywhere...

Lots of great shopping down here, i got myself a new belt-buckle.

Then we went out with everyone for a night on the town.

Only took a matter of time before we were taking turns on the bull. This is Lisa, former bride of ours. You can see her in better form here.

This is my wife, Olivia. I could not be more proud.

Fun in Key West: day 1

Date: December 16, 2008
Venue: Atlantic Ocean
City: Key West, Florida

We are down in Key West having a blast with Sara & Andrew. (I can really say 'down here' because this is the southern most point in America. They are getting married here in a few days. We are just having so much fun being a part of it all and documenting the whole week. Day 1 took us scuba dive / booze cruise.

They are just so perfect together:

More to come!

Wedding: Angel & Shaun

Date: 12.6.08
Venue: Star Hill Ranch
City: Bee Cave, Texas

Angel & Shaun Rock! I had a blast just being part of their wedding yesterday. They are such a warm and loving couple. They made shots like this easy... all day long.

Their family and friends were perfect. Full of energy and excitement.

In order to spend more time at the reception and not keep their guests waiting the couple elected to see each other for a private 'first glance'. This is a great way to settle the nerves and actually spend some time alone together. Here is the play by play:

Angel (with entourage) on her way to see Shaun:

Shaun's reaction as he turns and sees her for the first time as his bride:

It was so cute how all the girls crowed around the chapel windows for a peek:

Time for some portraits!

The ceremony was very touching and personal. Angel's father did the honors.

It does feel a little odd at first.
