Emily and Eric are a fantastic getting married soon at Mercury Hall. We had a ton of fun walking around finding the perfect spots (we only did a little trespassing.)

These two meet while attending UT so we had to get some stuff there.

[ Ok, here is where it gets super sweet ]

They actually meet in this classroom (the doors were unlocked so what the hey). The semester started off with them in these two exact chairs, bored.

As the semester went on they both moved a little closer to each other.

Next thing you know...

My wife and I actually meet in the exact same way!

Destination Weddings

We just love to do destination weddings. Sure it is a great way to see fun places but more than anything we love them because we get to spend so much more time really getting to know our couples. This always makes the wedding day so much more fun because by that time we are all great friends and are super-comfortable with each other. We just got back from spending 5 days in Montana with Lisa & Steve's awesome wedding.

Here are some questions about Destination Weddings that we get all the time:

Q: Is it expensive?
A: Yes, We require our full wedding rate plus all travel/hotel expenses but you all get so much more coverage. Over the 5 days in Montana we photographed:

Family BBQ
Float trip
Grooms birthday party
Fun out on the town
Rehearsal and Rehearsal dinner
Welcome reception to out of town guests
Random hotel fun
Extra session with bride and groom
Full wedding day (but not the 3am hot tub parties, wink wink)

Q: Where do you go?
A: Wherever you want to be married. We have done everything including several Mexican Beaches and all over America (yes, that includes Vegas)

The BBQ was the first night, it was great meeting all the family members. We grabbed Lisa and Steve for some portraits around proptery.

Ahh, waterproof camera fun

Rehearsal fun. Since we had never been to this venue before we arrived early with the bride and groom to do some photos and test out some spots we were going to use on the wedding day.

This is me and my Buddie Nate, a former groom of ours.

The guys are huge Steelers Fans, these are their kick-$%* groomsmen gifts.

By the time the wedding day came we were one happy family.

Greetings from Big Sky country!

We got to know Lisa and Steve about a year ago at Tiffany and Nathan's Wedding in Austin. We hit it off right away and next thing you know we are getting on a plane to shoot their wedding in Montana! We had so much fun just being a part of the whole celebration week. We arrived 4 days before the wedding and photographed a BBQ, campfire with smores, whitewater rafting, Steve's birthday dinner, bar-hopping, rehearsal/rehearsal dinner and the wedding (more of these images to come in a few days). We really got to know all their friends and family over the week so by the time the wedding came we knew everyone!

Ahhhhhh

They had a 65 Mustang as a get-a-way car. Sweet ride.

The ranch was amazing with wonderful spots everywhere.

A heavy rainstorm came though right before the ceremony was to start. Everyone kept their cool and we just waited it out. The rain stopped and we started about an hour later than planned. We all walked out and held the ceremony with this as our backdrop

The couple are huge Pittsburgh Steelers fans. During games their fans have a tradition of waiving 'Terrible Towels'. Lisa and Steve had some towels custom made for the event to incorporate this spirit.
